On demand laundry service claims to have cleaned one million garments since launch 12 months ago

2015 Startups Awards finalist Laundrapp has announced the addition of an “Uber style” real-time vehicle tracking to its service as it celebrates its first birthday.

Founded in 2014, Startups 100 listed Laundrapp is an on demand platform that enables its users to have their dirty laundry collected, cleaned, dried and returned from £2.

Now available in 25 towns and cities across the UK, the service claims to have cleaned over one million garments in the last 12 months.

As well as the new tracking feature, Laundrapp has added the ability to collect and deliver orders early based on the vicinity of the driver and a “choose at my door” feature, allowing customers to order without counting their items first.

Ed Relf, co-founder and CEO of Laundrapp, said: “The all new Laundrapp is a huge step forward for the on-demand laundry industry. For the first time anywhere in the world users can now track their laundry orders in real-time, a feature made popular by the likes of other services such as Uber or Deliveroo.”
