A “BioOrganic” skincare range, Aurelia Probiotic Skincare was founded by Claire Velo; who quit her corporate job to follow her business dream. It was worth the risk, and the brand is now stocked by the likes of Net-a-Porter, Liberty London and Space NK.
Bloom & Wild
A ‘flowers through the letterbox’ subscription service, Bloom & Wild allows consumers to order flowers in ‘under a minute’ and have them delivered through the post. The start-up claims to be the UK’s top rated online florist with over 10,000 reviews on all major review platforms.
The manufacturer behind the “world’s most comfortable mattress”, eve Sleep ships has sold an impressive 34,000 mattresses to date across the UK, the US, France and Germany. It recently announced a£13.9m funding round to help it expand to Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands.
The 70-strong family-run sausage producer has achieved eight-figure revenues and is stocked with all the major retails. Ran by Young Guns Jamie, Ellie and Roddy Keeble, HECK has achieved tremendous growth in the last two years and is on the verge of opening a multi-million pound food factory to cope with demand.
Pip & Nut
Offering a range of almond nut butters, Pip & Nut was founded by marathon enthusiast Pip Murray. The brand’s high protein spreads are devoid of refined sugars and palm oil, as well as e-numbers, preservatives and additives. Fast becoming a health food favourite, the brand recently started exporting to Ireland and achieved 500% growth on 2015.
The online subscription service, tails.com analyses your dog’s nutritional requirements and taste preferences before creating and delivering tailor made dog food. More than 40,000 canine customers have signed up so far.
