Silicon Valley Comes to the UK reveals the 60 European companies with £100m revenue potential

Silicon Valley Comes to the UK (SVC2UK) has today announced the 60 fast-growth European businesses chosen to join its ‘Scale Up Club’ 2014; a group of companies identified as having the potential to reach £100m turnover within the next three to five years.

Formerly known as the SVCUK 100 Club, the initiative seeks to support “promising” companies to “scale up effectively” by offering a year-round programme of mentoring sessions, networking events and workshops.

Organised by leading angel investor Sherry Coutu CBE, this year’s crop of participants includes several Startups 100-listed businesses such as Love Home Swap,  Hassle and Digital Shadows, alongside Young Gun-founded companies such as Appear Here and SwiftKey.

Events for the Club will start today with a CEO Summit at the London Stock Exchange which will see leading firms, including Facebook and Google, offer support to entrepreneurs to address “current barriers to scale”.

The news comes on the back of Monday’s Scale Up Report which analysed what could happen if the “UK managed to close the scale-up gap”.
