Founded in 2005, The Friday Project takes ‘exciting and innovative’ web content – mainly blogs and popular websites – and turns it into books. Clare, the company’s managing director and publishing director, says although she’s confident the company’s unique business model will make it relatively immune to the effects of recession, she thinks the publishing industry will be hit hard. “They say cash is king,” she says. “But that’s never more true than in publishing.”
