Which university, if any, did you attend?

Cardiff University, studying Neuroscience.

What does your business do?

Un Office Space is an office search agency. I find people their ideal office workspace by matching their requirements.

Where did the idea for your business come from?

I used to have a coworking business and thought I could run an agency business better than the agents I was using.

How did you know there was a market for it?

My former coworking members still contact me about office space. I have a large network and I help people achieve their workspace needs by hearing about exactly what they are missing.

What were you doing before launching your business?

I founded Cowork Hub. It was a large coworking office in Notting Hill and in North Acton.

Have you always dreamed of starting a business?

Yes.

How did you finance your business?

I used to be an Equity Trader so I used my savings from my time in the City of London.

Explain your business model and how you make money.

I find people office space, and then the venue provider pays a finder’s fee.

What are the main challenges you have faced? And how did you overcome them?

COVID-19 secure spaces are hard to verify when transport and movement is very limited.

What has your experience been of starting a business during a pandemic?

It is easier working from home then I thought. I work harder than I was hoping and that has been hard when you have a new born baby.

Describe your first breakthrough.

My first breakthrough took place when, through word of mouth, a client called me asking for office space.

How has Brexit impacted your business? Do you think it will in the future?

Brexit hasn’t affected my business that I know of. It affected my coworking business. Some of my Polish members had to go back to Poland due to changes in immigration laws.

What advice would you give to other aspiring business owners?

Be wise with your budget and finances. The first year is always tough.

What is one resolution you have for your business this year?

To grow enough to expand in to the EU.

How do you see your business developing in the next three years?

I am aiming to expand international. Luckily, my business is digitally-based, so there aren’t many barriers for international trade.
