Today’s consumers want convenience, and this is especially true when dining out. Inefficient digital platforms frustrate customers and deter them from returning – all while this struggling sector is in need of retaining business more than ever before.

Partly this stems from the pandemic which has curtailed customer interactions. At the time, Storekit cofounders, Delacroix, Larcey and Jackson wanted to help their local restaurants. As consumers, they saw that experiences were poor when directed to use an app in a restaurant. The idea for Storekit was born.

Storekit is designed to be the ordering platform for hospitality offering delivery, pickup, and pre-orders. It creates bespoke QR code menus, takeaway systems and pay-at-table capabilities for hospitality brands to streamline the customer experience.

Hospitality businesses can sign up for free or pay a weekly subscription fee for a more tailored service – the judges loved the transparency of fees on Storekit’s site.

“There were a bazillion of competitors in the UK, including three players who had raised over $100m, all focusing on digital experiences for restaurants,” says Delacroix. “We knew our B2B white label vision was the right one, but pretty much no one believed in Storekit. We had to grind it through by focusing on our vision, and we grew faster than any other player in the market.”

Thankfully, that true grit paid off. Storekit already works with huge names in hospitality like Bao, Patty&Bun and SushiDog, as well as thousands of others.

The startup is powered by angel investment and in the next five years, it wants to become the top ordering system within the UK market, used by thousands of venues around the world.
