Founder: Hannah SamanoYear founded: 2021Website: unfabled.coHormonal conditions like endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) impact millions of women across the UK, yet they’re often ignored or treated as minor ailments.Having suffered from cramps, insomnia, and anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic, founder Hannah Samano discovered that there wasn’t a trusted place for women to learn about and manage their health. But it was after a shopping trip – where tampon products were placed next to pet food – that Samano realised just how undervalued women’s health really was, and decided to do something about it.With a mission to put women’s health in the spotlight, Unfabled is a platform that curates and sells products for menstrual care, hormonal health and sexual wellness. Its proprietary platform, Unfabled Labs, also leverages data from over 500,000 women and non-binary individuals to provide personalised recommendations for hormonal health concerns.“By empowering women with the right tools and information, we enable them to take control of their health in ways that have never been possible before,” says Samano. With less than 2% of venture capital funding going towards female-led businesses – plus the stigma around women’s health in general – it was tough for Samano to get the capital she needed at first. However, through sheer resilience and determination – speaking to more than 400 investors and grounding her pitches in hard data and real stories – Samano has since raised $3.9m, including £1.28m in seed funding in October 2025.That same month, Unfabled was selected for Boots Ignite – a program that offers certain startups access to its retail channels, marketing support, and expert mentoring. And after becoming one of the company’s fastest-growing wellness brands, Unfabled rolled out to 737 stores across the country in October 2025.“Walking into a high street Boots and seeing our brand on-shelf, accessible to women across the country, was a pinch-me moment. I was on the phone to all my friends and family about it,” Samano recalls.Unfabled’s impressive investments and expansion has pushed the company up by 51 places to number 33 in this year’s Index. And with plans to become the world’s leading brand in women’s health, Unfabled is set to become the go-to destination for women to access trusted education and products that support their health and wellbeing at every stage of life.View the full Startups 100 Index for 20261.
