Founder: Princess EbiYear founded: 2024Website: mainsqueezeworld.comCompression socks are medically essential for people dealing with circulatory issues. But although they’re technically an item of clothing, they’re plain, clinical, and disconnected from how younger consumers actually want to style themselves.Main Squeeze, a brand founded by Princess Ebi, is changing that. After surgery, Ebi’s close friend developed lymphedema and stopped going out because she hated how her medical compression socks made her feel. Seeing her pull back from daily life to accommodate her medical wear revealed something bigger to Ebi – compression products just weren’t designed with their wearers’ confidence in mind. This is where Main Squeeze enters the chat – born from the belief that those who need to wear compression socks should be able to feel good and look good. So far, its chic compression socks are available in bold red and yellow colourways, designed to be shown off, not covered up or hidden away. With these products, Main Squeeze is tackling stigma and making compression wear accessible to all. It’s often associated with ageing or illness, but the brand is reframing it as something expressive, empowering, and suitable for younger wearers. To get manufacturers – who didn’t understand why aesthetics mattered – on board with creating something both medically effective and design-led, Ebi brought real users into the product development process early. She worked with people living with conditions like POTS and lymphedema to co-develop prototypes, test their comfort, and refine the fit.Main Squeeze operates primarily as a direct-to-consumer brand, but has built partnerships along the way, collaborating with creators and advocacy groups during Chronic Conditions Awareness Month, and winning the AXA Startup Angel Competition for 2025. The brand is also in early conversations with British retailers about future distribution opportunities. In the future, Main Squeeze aims to be the leading lifestyle compression brand in the UK, and expand across Europe and North America.Ebi’s vision includes a full product line, from socks to leggings and sleeves, all created with sustainable materials. She also has her sights set on building a global community platform that champions visibility and inclusion for people with chronic conditions.View the full Startups 100 Index for 20261. Omnea2.
