Founders: Morgan Mixon and Rima SuppanYear founded: 2021Website: wearepeachies.comThe baby care industry needs a change. Everyday nappy products you see on supermarket shelves contain a shocking amount of toxic ingredients – like dioxins, phthalates, heavy metals, and toluene – all of which irritate the skin, eyes, and lungs. Most nappies also leak, leading to more changes, and ultimately, more left in landfill. This is something that founders Morgan Mixon and Rima Suppan are cleaning up with Peachies. The brand’s subscription model offers plant-based products that are free from dyes, fragrances, parabens, and other harsh chemicals – keeping babies’ skin safe and happy while reducing the environmental impact of every nappy change.“Our nappies save up to 93 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions per 1,000 babies per year,” explains Mixon. But as newcomers to the industry, Mixon and Rima were up against some serious competition, especially from household names like Pampers and Huggies. The pair spent over two years researching materials, developing the products, and partnering with experts before finally launching the brand in June 2023.Three years on, and Peachies is now a standout name in baby care, becoming a certified B-Corp in November 2024. Our nappies save up to 93 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions per 1,000 babies per year. Eight months later, the brand raised £2.1m in a round by private equity firm Arma Vir Partners. It was also crowned Startup of the Year by The Grocer Gold Awards 2025, and took home the Best Nappy of the Year Award from The Positive Birth Company. This amazing progress, as well the strong relationship with its target market, resonated with the Startups judges – ultimately pushing Peachies up to number 43 in this year’s Index.Peachies also has bold plans for the future, as the team is gearing up to become a household name across Europe, the Middle East, and the US.And beyond products and market reach, it also aims to extend its community support through its partnership with Save the Children, as well as assisting baby banks – helping those in need whilst challenging the traditional nappy status quo.View the full Startups 100 Index for 20261.
